The subtropical forest of Amami Oshima is preserved here, and it features flora such as the gigantic 'hikagehego,' or Flying Spider-Monkey Tree Ferns. This special forest houses Amami's unique plants and animals, some of which are designated as National Natural Monuments. Lucky visitors may encounter some of these species, so keep an eye out for them!
*Kinsakubaru Primeval Forest is a part of Amami Gunto National Park, so visitors can only enter with a certified nature tour guide. For more information please contact the Amami Oshima Tourism & Products Federation at firstname.lastname@example.org
