Amami City Folk Heritage Museum

Amami has been known as the "pathway island" since ancient times, and has served as a place where cultural exchange with other southern islands and Kyushu has occurred since even the Jomon and Yayoi periods. Materials inside the "History and Culture of Amami; Legacy of the Black Current" exhibit show various aspects of Amami's unique culture and history in just one glance.
